The Department of International Business at the George Washington University may receive funding for one junior and one senior position beginning academic year 2008-09.  The junior position is tenure track and the senior position is tenured or tenure track at any rank.

The GW IB department is one of the few freestanding IB departments in the US, with 14 full time faculty members. The department offers an undergraduate, masters and doctoral program, and has a diverse faculty and student body with respect to geographic origin and professional experience.

US News and World Report ranked GW's Undergraduate program in International Business in the top 20 in 2007.  GW was also recently awarded a Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), providing extensive resources for international business research, teaching, and outreach on our campus and beyond.

Our location in the heart of the nation's capital, across the street from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to conduct academic research that has global implications. Please visit the department website at www.ibusdept.com for additional information.

As noted above, funding for this position is being sought, but has not yet been approved.  Professor Jennifer Spencer will be attending the Academy of Management meetings in Philadelphia and can meet informally with interested parties at that time.  If you would like to schedule a time to meet with her, please send her an email at ibus.gwu@gmail.com prior to July 15, 2007.

The George Washington University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
