The OU Business School is a truly global business school, with more than 30,000 students internationally and a vibrant academic research community of nearly 100 academic staff.

The School is investing to extend its reputation as a high-quality and innovative provider of management education.  As part of this a new centre of research excellence in International Management Practice, Education and Learning (IMPEL) is being established.

We seek to appoint a senior professor of international standing to lead and direct the centre and to galvanise a research strategy around management practice, education and learning and take a leadership role in enabling inter-disciplinary research across the School.  We also seek a senior lecturer to work with the professor and play a leading role in developing engagement with private and public corporate clients for both teaching and research activities, with a particular focus on multinational companies and international agencies.

Successful applicants will have nationally and internationally recognised track records in teaching and research in the area of management practice and learning.  Given the inter-disciplinary nature of the IMPEL centre, the School anticipates applications from all disciplines of management, including, but not restricted to: international management, organizational behaviour, organizational psychology, organizational development, marketing, strategic management, innovation studies, comparative management, or public sector management.
