    INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF CROSS-CULTURAL MANAGEMENT
    CALL FOR PROPOSALS
    2009 REVIEW ISSUE

The editorial board of the International Journal of Cross-Cultural
Management would like to invite authors to submit proposals for the 2009
Review Issue. Articles for the Review Issue should be high-impact
scholarly surveys of important research literatures. They should summarize
recent research, provide integrations of cross-cultural management and
related literatures, and highlight important directions for future
inquiries. The Review Issue is open to all areas of cross cultural
management, work and organizations. This includes manuscripts that review
applications of cross-cultural psychology, socio-cultural anthropology,
sociology, cross-cultural communication and related disciplines to cross-
    cultural management issues and practice.

Proposals should be submitted as an e-mail attachment to Serap Yavuz at
ijccm@ku.edu.tr. Generally speaking, proposals should contain no more than
two pages of text and be double-spaced. References, tables, and appendices
do not count against the page limit. It is also acceptable to submit a
completed manuscript, though doing so confers no special advantage.

Submissions will be evaluated with respect to the following criteria:

    (a) Relevance. The proposed manuscript should thoroughly review a
significant and important research area within cross-cultural management,
    work and organizations.

    (b) Viability. The proposal should represent an achievable project within
the time constraints required. More detail on the timeline is provided
    below.

    (c) Broad Interest. Manuscripts with broad interest to scholars in a
variety of specialty areas within cross-cultural management are preferred.

    (d) Organization and Coherence. The proposal should follow a logical
structure, read clearly, and thoroughly represent the available research.

    (e) Insight for Future Work. The proposal should convey important
implications for future cross-cultural management scholars.

It is important for authors to adhere to the following timeline. Late
submissions cannot be accepted. Relevant dates are as follows:
    • August 15, 2008: Proposals due to the International Journal of
    Cross-Cultural Management at ijccm@ku.edu.tr
    • October 1, 2008: Final decision on proposal and initial feedback
    provided to authors.
    • April 1, 2009: First draft of paper due to IJCCM.
    • June 1, 2009: Feedback to authors on first draft.
    • Sep 1, 2009: Final paper submitted to the IJCCM.
Manuscript appears in Volume 1 Issue 10 (April 2010)
