Dear Colleagues, Our research team is seeking advice regarding two issues (survey translation and incentives for survey participants) for a study involving a sample of employees from multiple countries. Our survey needs to be translated into several languages (Hindi, Korean, Malaysian, Thai, and Vietnamese). A survey translation service is not available at our university and there are problems associated with hiring students to provide this service. For those of you who have dealt with this issue, what service providers have you utilized for high-quality translation of surveys? The second issue involves providing an incentive to participants who complete our on-line survey. As our participants are from different countries and cultures, we are struggling to find an incentive/gift card that can be e-mailed and used by participants in different countries. For example, in past research with a U.S. sample we have used Amazon.com gift cards; however, Amazon.com is not available in many of the countries represented in our sample. We would be very grateful to receive your suggestions! *Please reply directly to Aarn Cao* at xcao6@uic.edu. We will summarize and post the suggestions that we receive. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Warm regards, Aarn (Xiaoyun) Cao (xcao6@uic.edu) Eric Michel (emiche5@uic.edu) Sandy J. Wayne (sjwayne@uic.edu) University of Illinois at Chicago
