Reminder Call
Given how well the pre-doctoral initiative was received last year, the Southern Management Association is once again offering this exciting opportunity to those who are not yet enrolled in a doctoral program but are interested in pursuing doctoral studies. The initiative includes a pre-doctoral paper track and a one- day consortium in November, in fabulous New Orleans.
While the deadline for the paper submission has passed, that for the consortium is September 1, just one week away!
So if you have a student or former student who is interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in management, please encourage them to apply for the consortium. You may have had a student who wrote an awesome term paper for you and/or mentioned that he/ she is interested in pursuing a doctoral degree? It could also be that a particular student of yours has the potential and you are encouraging him/her to explore the option of pursuing a Ph.D. The pre-doctoral consortium that aims to provide a “ realistic preview” of life as a doctoral student and faculty would be very beneficial to these individuals. A stipend for $500 to help with travel costs of participants may also be available.
