Abstract:
The purpose of our track is to examine the current social trends and shifts that change the way individuals integrate the different domains of their personal life and the way organizations, self-employed
persons and policy makers address work-life issues. As the demographic, socioeconomic and technological contexts evolve, individuals experiment with innovative behaviors and strategies, organizations and managers develop innovative policies and practices, and policy makers intervene and regulate in new ways. Research fostering a better understanding of changes in the articulation of work and life, more specifically, changes in formal and informal work-life policies and practices, employment conditions, job design, occupational and organizational cultures, and changes in public policy, can help usher an era of social change that contributes to more just, family-friendly and sustainable workplaces, better employment relations, and societies. However, these changes may also have unintended consequences for organizations' and workers' performance and well-being.
Keywords: Work-life integration, work-life policies, organizational change, technology.
