    Please Join Us for the 8th Annual NYU-Stern Conference on Social
    Entrepreneurship, Nov 2-4, 2011!

    Submissions were again at an all-time high with over 100 abstracts
    from all over the world: US, Canada, Belgium, China, Croatia, Egypt,
    Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico,
    Namibia, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden,
    Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates,
    etc.

    We are looking forward to seeing you at this year's conference
    dedicated to the ongoing development of theory and research on social
    entrepreneurship and its impact on global communities. The aim is to
    bring together scholars in social entrepreneurship to discuss emerging
    concepts and themes in social entrepreneurship research.

    The $750 conference fee can be paid by major credit cards and covers
    meals and receptions. As a bonus and added feature, participants will
    have the opportunity to attend a number of practitioner sessions
    including keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops on the last day,
    November 4th.

    A couple of special events have been planned including an evening on
    Broadway Thursday evening and our formal reception Friday evening with
    the announcement of the NYU-Stern Best Paper Award. A detailed

    We have blocked a number of rooms at the Downtown Club Quarters (52

    Best Paper Awards and Recognition

    Please plan on staying and networking at our reception on Friday
    evening and the announcement of the conference's best papers:

    * The NYU-Stern Best Paper Award ($5,000) will be granted for the best
    research paper.

    * Also, best papers will be selected and will be given the opportunity
    to appear in the forthcoming 2012 book edited by Jill Kickul and
    Sophie Bacq, "Patterns in Social Entrepreneurship Research" (Edward
    Elgar).

    * Finally, the best paper to address the intersection of public policy
    and social entrepreneurship will be chosen to appear in a 2012 issue
    of Journal of Entrepreneurship & Public Policy.
