*** Apologies for cross-postings***
Hi All,
I and a few colleagues are working on a symposium proposal focusing on India-based research for the 2012 Academy of Management conference. Our objective is to present theoretically and empirically sound research that throws new light on the Indian cultural context.
We are looking for one or two more papers for inclusion in our symposium proposal. It is intended that the papers showcase unique aspects of the Indian society. The idea is to develop a greater understanding of the Indian business environment at any level of abstraction. Thus, investigations that look at both micro and macro OB questions would be acceptable. Papers that refine existing management theories, most of which were developed in the West, to explain India-specific phenomena are welcome. Papers that seek to develop new theories based on Indian culture, thought, and traditions would be especially appropriate for this symposium. We intend to include only empirical papers; although all methodological approaches, whether qualitative or quantitative, are welcome.
The synopsis (four-five pages long) of your papers in AMJ format should be sent to me by December 25, 2011. If everything goes according to the plan, I will compile all the synopses and submit the symposium proposal by January 05, 2012.
If interested, please send me a preliminary overview of your paper (title and abstract) at snifadka@ucalgary.ca as early as possible.
Best regards,
Sushil |
