We are currently updating our global leadership class for our MBA students. Could you please send me any recommendations of books you have found effective for discussing global leadership with MBA students?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Dear Dusya

I've found these two books very useful:

    1) Global leadership: The Next Generation by  Goldsmith, Greenberg, Hu-Chan and Robertson

    2) Leadership Without Borders by Cohen

    All the best!

    Warm regards

    Dear Dusya,

I addition to the recommendation by colleagues, I wrote an accessible book with a more regional approach that you might find useful to your geographical area. My book is not global, it is focused on Leadership in the New World from Argentina to the USA.

I narrated the leadership experience as a story through a dialogue between  two gauchos witnessing popular insurrections as they rode on horseback during (mostly) 19th century revolutionary events, therefore preceding Harvard BS and the likes.

It shows the pull of autochthonous leadership
styles, as based on local values. The shared culture allows a better fit between leader and followers and therefore greater effectiveness. This is why I also am very sceptical of Global leadership.

If nothing else that book is an amusing antipodal perspective on leadership theory and practice. Besides, where else could you find this wealth of information for under $10? :)

I hope it helps, please let me know.
