    Description: The Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Organizational Leadership (OL) beginning August 2015. OL delivers programming in three ways: traditional on-campus classes, evening/hybrid classes for adult-centered education (PACE), and completely online classes.

    The individual best suited to fill this position would have the following qualities: (1) Ph.D. in leadership, organizational studies, organizational behavior, organizational leadership, psychology, business administration, management, or related field by time of appointment (Ed.D. considered); (2) research agendas and teaching interests in team building, organizational ethics, research methods, and cross cultural leadership; and (3) demonstrated skills in or commitment to undergraduate instruction and advising, scholarship and publication, and service to the university and community. Additional preferences include experience and/or interest in teaching online and administrative and/or leadership experience in the private, public, or non-profit sector.

    The department is the largest within the College of Arts & Sciences, with 31 full-time faculty; approximately 1,600 students; bachelor degrees in criminal justice, international studies, political science, and organizational leadership; and an accredited master degree in public administration. Faculty are actively engaged with students through undergraduate research programs; local, regional, national, and international internship placements; study abroad; and student honor societies. The department is built on values that emphasize multidimensional excellence, learner-centered education, civic engagement, innovation, collegiality, and collaboration across all department and university academic programs.
