Colleagues,
I realize that this is coming at you a bit late, but I am very much interested in trying to organize a caucus for the August meeting that would have as its theme the role the private sector, particularly MNEs of all sizes, can and should take in achieving the sustainable development goals the United Nations will determine later this year. While these goals have a strong policy and institutional focus, many of them - particularly those dealing with energy sustainability, inclusive economic development and income inequality/poverty alleviation - will need private sector input. This subject, I believe, offers a tremendous opportunity for the international management community to become part of what may be the most important task of the early 21st century.
