Synopsis:
Increasingly, a number of studies point to the importance of technological competence present in emerging markets, such as India, in supporting and informing innovation strategies of multinational enterprises. The transition from a fine-slicing of production and distribution strategy to integrating emerging economies in the core part of innovation value chain has started to gain momentum. This requires an understanding of the context in which human capital development and innovation happens in an emerging market. This PDW is an attempt to encourage discussion and identify future research directions by exploring research problems and offering deeper theoretical approaches that can help understand context specificities. The PDW panellists bring in their experience of researching on these areas to generate new knowledge and future research agendas.
Best wishes,
Surender
