6th ASIAN MANAGEMENT RESEARCH AND CASE CONFERENCE 2017
"EMERGING BUSINESS TRENDS IN ASIA"
22-23 May, 2017
Venue: University of Dhaka, Bangladesh
University of Dhaka (DU), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and University of Wollongong at Dubai (UOWD) invite submissions for the 6th Asian Management Research and Case Conference 2017 (AMRC 2017).
CONFERENCE SCOPE AND CONTEXT
In 1990, Asia's share in world GDP in real US$ purchasing power parity (PPP) was 23.2%. By 2014, this went up to 38.8% much larger than the shares of the United States and the European Union. In fact, Asia's share is likely to go up in the coming years if current growth trends in key regional economies continue. For example, forecasts by Oxford Economics put Asia's share at nearly 45% by 2025. Therefore, this year's conference theme is "Emerging Business Trends in Asia".
Establishing the primacy of the context in management research and education, this conference seeks to bring together scholars engaged in research and case writing on the unique business models and practices prevalent in Asia. Submissions may include:
1. Research Papers
2. Teaching Cases
3. Panel Proposals
4. Proposals for Doctoral Colloquia
All submissions will be reviewed based on originality, rigor, and relevance to the conference theme. All accepted manuscripts will be presented at the conference.
JOURNAL SUBMISSIONS
Selected cases may be considered for publication in Asian Journal of Management Cases, a publication of Suleman Dawood School of Business, LUMS and Sage Publications. AJMC is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). The cases selected will be subject to journal review procedures. Selected papers will be considered for publication in Dhaka University's Journal of Business Studies.
