Surrey Business School, University of Surrey (U.K.) is seeking candidates for a position as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Assistant/Associate Professor) in International Business, commencing in early 2019. The successful candidate will be based within the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

Surrey Business School is a mid-sized business school with over 110 academic staff members from around the globe, and a highly cohesive and collegial atmosphere. Accredited by AACSB and by AMBA, we are ambitious in building a world-class interdisciplinary business school where innovative thinking is accelerated into action. Our particular strengths are in digital innovation and technological transformation, leadership and organizational psychology, sustainability and corporate governance. Based in the historic town of Guildford, just outside of London, the University of Surrey is an outstanding international university with an enterprising spirit.

The Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship has core research strengths in entrepreneurship, international business, and strategy. Our research and teaching increasingly considers the links and intersections between strategic management and international business, and we are looking to expand this area. The Department is a healthy mix of research active faculty and practitioner teaching fellows, the latter bringing a wealth of business experience. The Department has grown strongly in recent years, and will continue to do so in future, with further appointments already in plan.

We thus seek to appoint a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in International Business to join our team. Candidates from adjacent subject areas such as economics and political science are welcome to apply.

We are looking for strongly research-active academics. Applicants should show clear evidence of their proven capacity to publish on international business in top-tier journals. We will ensure that your teaching load is such as to provide you with sufficient time for research. If interested, there will be ample opportunities for you to become active in business engagement and executive education.

This is a full-time position. Conditions and compensation will be at internationally competitive standards and be commensurate with the appointees' experience.

Senior faculty members, including the Dean, Professor Ansgar Richter, and the Head of Department, Professor Thomas Lawton, will attend the upcoming Academy of Management Conference in Chicago (August 10-14). They would be pleased to have informal conversations at the conference with potential candidates.
