    Dear Colleagues,

     

    Because of the increased volume of submissions and the intention to grow the readership and impact of the journal, the Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences (JEAS) is looking for suitable candidates to serve as Associate Editors, particularly in the areas of accounting, economics and finance.

     

    The Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences publishes international peer review research in the areas of business administration, supply chain management, entrepreneurship, human capital management, management information systems, economics, accounting, public administration, governance and quantitative and qualitative methods. 

     

    The Journal operates a double-blind peer review system whereby each paper is sent to two referees. The acceptance rate for the journal is 10%. JEAS is indexed in the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).  Article downloads for the Journal have also increased by 43%, reaching 11,428 article downloads by the end of 2016.     Responsibilities

    An Associate Editor is expected to assume the following responsibilities:

    • To manage manuscript peer review through an online submission system within a reasonable timeframe
    • To make recommendations on manuscript to the Editor, ensuring quality of accepted papers
    • To promote the journal by encouraging and inviting relevant manuscript submissions
    • To assist in the continued growth of the journal's readership
    • To make suggestions on themed special issues of the journal
    • To contribute in other ways to the development of the journal.

     

    Qualifications

    An Associate Editor is expected to satisfy the following criteria:

    • To hold a PhD degree in an appropriate discipline
    • To have prior experience as a peer reviewer or member of the Editorial Board of an international research journal
    • To have published in international peer reviewed research journals
    • To be able to provide impartial judgement on other researchers' work
    • To be fluent in English with good writing ability.

     

    Terms of Service

    The position of an Associate Editor is voluntary. A successful candidate is expected to serve in the role for a three-year period.  This may be extended for a further period.

     

    Areas of interest and expertise

    It would be helpful if applicants can identify which of the following broad areas of interest most suits their expertise and specify them in the letter of application (business administration, supply chain management, entrepreneurship, human capital management, management information systems, economics, finance, accounting, public administration, governance or quantitative and qualitative methods).
