    FACULTY POSITION IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    School of Human Resources & Labor Relations

    College of Social Science

    Michigan State University

     

    The School of Human Resources & Labor Relations at Michigan State University seeks applicants for a tenure-system position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in HRM. International experience or demonstrated interest in international regions is an advantage. Instructional responsibilities include primarily teaching in our signature Master of Human Resources and Labor Relations program (offered in East Lansing and Troy, Michigan), as well as teaching in our doctoral program and at the undergraduate level.

     

    This position is an academic-year (nine-month) appointment with a beginning date as early as August 16, 2011 or as late as August 16, 2012.

     

    Applicants must be able to teach an introductory graduate course in HRM and one or more specialized courses such as compensation, talent acquisition and deployment, training and development, high performance work systems, business and HR strategy, finance for HR, or metrics and quantitative methods for HR analyses.   

     

    Faculty: Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in HRM, labor and employment relations, or related discipline or field of study.

     

    We seek applicants with demonstrated records of research excellence. Commensurate with one's years of professional experience, a record of success in obtaining external funding to support one's research is expected.
