SHORT DESCRIPTION SUMMARIZING POSITION FUNCTIONS
The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">School</st1:placename></st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Labor</st1:placename></st1:placetype></st1:place> and Employment Relations has a vacant faculty position in Comparative HR/Employment Relations. We are interested in candidates who have teaching and research interests in comparative human resources management or employment relations at any unit(s) of analysis. This is a full-time tenure-track position that combines research with teaching in the School's master's and PhD programs in human resources and employment relations. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals
• Teach in the School's master's and PhD programs
• Participate on School-wide service committees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate social science discipline or professional area of study (e.g., JD); however, ABDs who demonstrate a strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2011 will be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Degree (PhD) newly completed through three years of experience in a four year college or university
SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience
APPOINTMENT STATUS: Regular, 100% time tenure-track faculty appointment
