2015 Professional Development Workshop for Early Career Scholars, Industry Studies Association
The Early Career Development Committee of the Industry Studies Association is pleased to announce the 2015 Professional Development Workshop (PDW) for early career industry studies scholars. It will take place the afternoon of Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 and will be held in conjunction with the Industry Studies Conference, May 26- May 28th, 2015 in Kansas City, MO. This year, the conference and PDW will be held at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, a state-of-the-art facility, in Kansas City, MO (http://www.kauffman.org/who-we-are/kauffman-foundation-conference-center).
The Professional Development Workshop is intended to support early-career scholars engaged in industry studies research by providing career-related advice and the opportunity to form a network of junior and senior colleagues.
This year's program includes panel discussions with prominent scholars (e.g. journal editors, representatives of funding agencies, and previous best paper award winners) and an interactive paper-development workshop, alongside plentiful opportunity for informal interaction with junior and senior scholars. To foster informality, collegiality, and open discussion, the workshop will be limited to 50 participants, selected based on a short application. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
