Dear fellow GDO and IMD members,

Linda Isenhour and I organized a PDW during the past Academy meeting in Chicago, with both GDO and IMD sponsorship.  As part of our follow-up plan, I have created a "Group" within the new AOM Connect website; the name of the group is "Transnational Gender & Diversity PDW 2009" (thanks to Stella Nkomo for coming up with this term) and I set it up open to all AOM members (though we naturally expect more GDO and IMD members to join the conversation).

If you have thoughts to share on this topic, invitations to collect data, syllabi to share, papers to start writing with colleagues, calls for papers to send, etc. the new AOM Connect group is ready for you!!!  For example, Jawad Syed already posted a summary of points that were brought up the discussion table he facilitated, on "Gender and Diversity Issues in Muslim majority countries (MMCs)" (thanks Jawad!!).

The URL to the "Summary" page is as follows:  http://connect.aomonline.org/groups/956eede602/summary.  Linda (Isenhour) and I have moderator capabilities in case we get spammed or any inappropriate behavior (not that we would expect it, but we'd rather be safe than sorry!).  If you had any trouble finding your way into the group or would like assistance of any kind, just send me an email and I will gladly help you.

Both Linda and I acknowledge the support provided by the International Committee, led by Dianna Stone. Join us to do something useful and exciting with our Transnational Diversity group!!!

    Miguel
