I am looking for people interested in working with me on an Internet supported international business gaming simulation. I have developed a demo that you can try out at
http://pages.towson.edu/precha/geonetd5.exe. Just click on the link. Select Run/Open at the security warnings, then click on the Setup button, after which you click on the Register button to register yourself as a participant. When you exit the program, it will clean up after itself.
If the program exits immediately after you click on Setup, then the most likely reason is that Microsoft's DotNet Framework is not installed on your computer. You can take care of that by going to Microsoft's update site, either directly from the Start button or indirectly to
http://www.microsoft.com, and then selecting "Microsoft Update," which should be under "Product Resources." At the update site, click the Custom button. This activates a program that checks your system. When the program finishes, it will tell you if you should install high priority updates right away. Then on the left side of the update window, select "Software, Optional." You will see "Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0." Check the selection box to install it, together with the high priority updates suggested. The gaming simulation requires Microsoft .Net Framework version 1.1 or higher.
The gaming simulation advances time automatically, enables participants to engage in international entrepreneurial activities, and collects data that can be mined to answer basic questions in international business.
