    The Department of Management at the Robins School of Business, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Richmond</st1:placename></st1:place>, expects a significant increase in enrollments for the 2008-2009 academic year, and is inviting applications for a visiting faculty position in Organizational Behavior. An additional interest in teaching International Management, preferably cross-cultural management or international negotiation, will be considered advantageous.  Selected candidates are expected to be qualified to teach courses in both undergraduate and part-time graduate programs.  Candidates are expected to have completed or be near completion of the Ph.D.  Some prior business experience is strongly preferred, and evidence of teaching excellence is considered to be a top priority.

     

    The Robins School of Business is part of a private, highly selective university, with a liberal arts orientation and a rising national and international profile. U.S. News & World Report, as well as other college guides, consistently rank <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Richmond</st1:placename></st1:place> as one of the nation's top universities. A recent Business Week ranking of undergraduate business programs put the Robins School in the top 20 nationally (#4 in academic quality).  The university is noted for its challenging academic programs, excellent facilities, commitment to undergraduate education, and strong resource base, including an endowment of well over $1 billion. The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Robins</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">School</st1:placename></st1:place> recently completed a new 5-year strategic plan that provides a strong sense of momentum for the future and includes plans for a 33,000 square feet addition. 

     

    Application submissions for this position should include a current curriculum vitae and the names and contact information for three references who are familiar with the candidate's qualifications with respect to excellence in the classroom and success in scholarship.  Inclusion of recent teaching evaluations, either in a separate document or in the vitae, will facilitate the selection process.
