CALL FOR PROPOSALS
“REVIEW OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE” ISSUE
The Editors of Corporate Governance: An International Review
(http://www.cgir.org) would like to invite authors to submit proposals for
a special issue titled “Review of Corporate Governance.” The goal of the
special issue is to produce articles that summarize and integrate
previously published research on a given topic, identify weaknesses and/or
limitations in extant research, and create a roadmap or agenda for future
research studies. We would expect that the proposed papers serve as an
important tool in consolidating and advancing our knowledge of
international corporate governance, and that they will be between 6,000 to
10,000 words long. The guest editors for this special issue are Brian
Boyd, Arizona State University (
briankboyd@asu.edu), and Igor Filatotchev,
Cass Business School, City University London
(
igor.filatotchev@city.ac.uk).
To be considered for publication, a three-page (maximum) article proposal
must be submitted to the guest editors via e-mail by February 29, 2008.
Proposals should include a clear statement as to the research question or
issue, identification of the motivation and expected contribution of the
study, and highlights of key points to be made. The guest editors will
review the summaries and then invite authors of the most interesting
proposals to submit complete papers. Authors with approved proposals must
submit completed manuscripts via Manuscript Central by August 29, 2008.
It is anticipated that this special issue will be published early in 2009,
and that accepted manuscripts will be pre-published on-line at the end of
2008.
