Scholarships
Every year we offer a number of generous PhD scholarships available on a competitive basis. Most awards cover tuition fees and provide an additional stipend of £14,000 per annum. We offer general awards across the subject areas above, and specific awards tied to research platforms that allow for critical engagement within particular, often interdisciplinary, fields. In 2016, platform scholarships will be offered in the following areas:

· Credit Research Centre
· Edinburgh Strategic Resilience Initiative

Course structure
Our PhD programme typically takes three to four years, with the first year including six training courses to prepare you for your research journey.
