    Associate Professor in International Strategy

NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway (www.nhh.no), invites applications for a full associate professor position in International Strategy in the Department of Strategy and Management. The position forms part of the Department's strategy to grow its high quality research group within the area of International Business. To facilitate the development of this group we are seeking ambitious candidates early in their careers who, in addition to holding a relevant PhD degree, can document relevant research and teaching capabilities within International Strategy.

The position involves teaching on average two courses a year. One of these courses will be in International Strategy and will be delivered as part of NHH's commitment to the highly prestigious CEMS master degree program (http://www.cems.org/mim). The second course may also be in International Strategy. Teaching will be conducted in English.

Additional duties will involve supervision of students and various administrative duties.

The successful candidate will start teaching in the Fall of 2016 but may join the Department during the Spring semester.

Documented research over and above a relevant PhD and teaching capabilities in International Strategy are two key attributes for the position. In addition, preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a willingness to work in research teams.

Short-listed applicants will be invited to present a paper at a departmental seminar prior to their being interviewed. In the event of there being candidates with equivalent qualifications, preference will be given to female applicants.

In the assessment of applicants, international experience and qualifications will be emphasized.

The salary will be negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for associate professors.

In Norway health care, schools and most other public services are free at the point of delivery. NHH offers a favorable arrangement with membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund, generous research funds for traveling and conference participation, and a bonus system for publications in top international journals. The city of Bergen has a mild climate, and offers rich opportunities for cultural and outdoor activities (www.visitnorway.com) - as well as a family-friendly environment.

Information about education, prior positions and work experience must be attached with the application, as well as a list of publications, a complete CV, certificates with grades, and any other relevant documentation, such as letters of reference. A maximum of ten publications and papers should also be attached for evaluation.

Reference letters must be submitted by email directly to NHH (kristin.haugland@nhh.no) from the references.

An applicant list may be made public even though the applicant has requested not to be named in such a list. The applicant will be notified if his/her request is not respected.

Enquires about the position should be directed to the Head of Department, Professor Paul N. Gooderham, e-mail: paul.gooderham@nhh.no

Applications must be submitted online at www.nhh.no/positions. For opening the application, please select English version (see menu on top side) and use the link 'Apply for this job' on top right side.

Deadline for applications is 19 November 2015.
