We are pleased to announce the first call for submissions to the 18th Annual Irish Academy of Management (IAM) Conference which will be hosted by the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway) from 3 - 4 September 2015. The IAM conference will be preceded by a Doctoral Colloquium 2 September 2015. Full conference details are available at www.iamireland.ie
CONFERENCE THEME
The 2015 IAM conference theme is 'Towards Socially Responsible Management?' which will examine key issues and debates regarding the future of management in its broadest sense using a multi-stakeholder approach. The keynote plenary sessions will focus on the future of management education and research.

SUBMISSION TYPES
Paper Submission:
A paper refers to a fully developed manuscript on a scholarly topic which can be conceptual or empirical in nature. Authors must first submit an abstract of up to 1500 words which is double peer-reviewed. The deadline for abstract submission is 30 January 2015. If the abstract is accepted for presentation at the conference, a full paper (6000–8000 words) must be submitted by 26 June 2015. Papers will be organised for presentation around a common theme and using the conference tracks outlined above.
Presenter Symposium:
A Presenter Symposium involves a series of three to five authored papers on a pre-set theme. A symposium could also include a Discussant. Symposia will be reviewed for their overall quality and interest to IAM members. Details for the Presenter Symposium Convenor who is organising the symposium should be presented in the submission. At least one author from each symposium paper must register for the conference. Symposium proposals must be submitted by 30 June 2015 and full papers by 26 June 2015.
Panel Symposium:
The purpose of a Panel Symposium is to engage a group of panellists in an interactive discussion. Proposals for panel discussions should include clear descriptions of the topics to be discussed and the procedures that will be used to manage the discussion among panellists and with the audience. Details for the Panel Symposium Convenor who is organising the symposium should be presented in the submission. All panel presenters must register for the conference. Symposium proposals must be submitted by 30 June 2015.
Doctoral Colloquium Papers:
The Doctoral Colloquium is an ideal opportunity for PhD students in Business and Management Studies to engage with fellow researchers and experienced academic mentors to review and discuss a variety of issues pertaining to their PhD studies and completion. Papers presented at the Doctoral Colloquium cannot be presented at the main conference. Mentored roundtables across various business and management disciplines will form a key part of the Doctoral Colloquium programme where PhD students will be matched with experienced academics who will provide valuable input and guidance.

GALWAY CITY AND HINTERLAND
Galway city, located on the world-renowned West Coast of Ireland, sits on the River Corrib between Lough Corrib and Galway Bay. Galway is known as Ireland's Cultural Heart and is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals, celebrations and events. The Wild Atlantic Way is a world-famous coastal route that spans seven of Ireland's counties, with some breath-taking scenery along the way from Donegal in the north to Cork in the south and taking in Counties Sligo, Galway, Clare, Limerick and Kerry, the Wild Atlantic Way is a journey of discovery. The Lonely Planet Guide has put Ireland at number 5 in its 'Best in Travel 2015' and the guide cities 2015 to be the "year of the Wild Atlantic Way" with "stunning landscapes", "incredible hospitality" and "life-changing experiences". GETTING TO GALWAY
Galway is situated on the West Coast of Ireland and is easily reached by air, ferry, train, bus and/or car. As a major tourist attraction, there are many well-developed transport options available.
Knock International Airport (www.knockairport.com) and Shannon International Airport (www.shannonairport..com) are both located within one hour's drive from Galway City.
Dublin Airport (www.dublinairport.com) is located two hours from Galway City.
Galway is currently accessible by rail, bus and taxi from Dublin International Airport, and by bus and taxi from Shannon International Airport and Knock International Airport.
Between the three airports, an extensive range of flights currently serve Galway from the UK, Europe, the USA and elsewhere.
