    The Department of Management at Appalachian State University invites
    applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor in a
    nine-month, non-tenure track instructional position beginning August 2015.

    Instructional duties will include teaching three sections of
    undergraduate international management in the regular fall and spring
    semesters. The successful candidate is expected to have sufficient
    academic or professional engagement to meet faculty qualifications
    required by AACSB, consistent with the college's mission. The
    requirements for the position are 1) a PhD, DBA, or the candidate must
    be currently pursuing the doctoral degree with ABD status in
    international management, international business or a closely related
    field and 2) evidence of effective teaching experience. Preferred
    qualifications include 1) prior teaching experience in
    international-related areas in business education and 2) international
    industry and/or international consulting experience.

    The Department of Management is housed in the Walker College of
    Business, an AACSB-accredited business school with an enrollment of more
    than 2,300 students. The college was included in Princeton Review's 2014
    edition of Best Business Schools. The college encourages students to
    participate in international study abroad opportunities and offers an
    undergraduate major in international business. Additional information
