Dear AOM International Management Division Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure, I would like to invite you or your interested advanced PhD students to a Professional Development Workshop (PDW), for early career industry studies scholars, being held before this year's Industry Studies Association Annual Meeting (May 24-26).

The PDW will be held on May 24th from 1:00-6:00. The PDW is intended to support early-career scholars engaged in industry studies research by providing career-related advice and the opportunity to form a network of junior and senior colleagues. Much of the research presented is highly international in focus.

We would like to encourage you, or interested advanced PhD students and post-docs (even if they do not have a paper accepted into the conference) to attend the PDW.

The deadline to sign up for the PDW is April 29th. There are only seven spots remaining. Priority will be given to participants who register early.

Each paper in the PDW will be assigned to at least two faculty discussants. Our faculty discussants include:

    John Cantwell, Rutgers University

    Susan Mudambi, Temple University

    Matthew Bidwell, University of Pennsylvania

    Virginia Doellgast, Cornell University

    Jody Hoffer Gittell, Brandeis University

    Nicole DeHoratius, University of Chicago

    K.K. Sinha, University of Minnesota

You or your students and post-docs can register for the PDW on the Conference webpage at (https://www.industrystudiesconference.org/registration) as part of the general conference registration.

Partial financial support will be provided to PDW participants on a need basis which may be indicated during registration.

Please do not hesitate to contact the PDW chair at Michael.murphree@moore.sc.edu if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in Minneapolis!

    Sincerely,

    Michael Murphree
