Call for Papers
The Journal of World Business is excited to announce a Special Issue focusing on the promise of the microfoundations approach for fresh theorizing and empirical research across established and emerging IB topics (Ambos,Andersson Drogendijk, Lunnan, Sharkey Scott & Yildiz, 2025). The Special Issue calls for both papers that build on prior research to move towards full microfoundational explanations and those that identify new avenues for the application of a microfoundations perspective, particularly a modular approach (Ambos et al, 2025).
Why Submit?
This is a great opportunity to contribute your research offering microfoundational insights to advance theorizing in international business (IB). This call is open to a range of submissions, from papers addressing under researched theories in IB where microfoundations can provide novel insights, to studies developing theory with a microfoundations perspective, to research offering a better understanding of the nature and consequences of managerial action.
Conceptual and empirical papers are both welcome.
