IHRM Junior Faculty Consortium<u1:p></u1:p>
London, UK - June 28, 2023, 9am - 4:50pm<u1:p></u1:p>
The JFC is for early career academics (who hold an HRM faculty position as an assistant professor, or comparable rank, i.e., pre-tenure) who would like to learn more about developing a successful and well-balanced academic career. The consortium will provide an opportunity to network with peers as well as to learn from experienced and highly successful academics in the HRM field.<u1:p></u1:p>
Essential topics to be covered include networking, balancing research/teaching/service, building a meaningful research program, focusing on wellbeing, and the pros and cons of collaboration in academia. Speakers/Panelists include Elaine Farndale, Snejina Michailova, Pat Wright, Fang Lee Cooke, Günter Stahl, & Chris Brewster.<u1:p></u1:p>
Application Process:<u1:p></u1:p>
There is no extra charge for the JFC but you will need to: <u1:p></u1:p>
· Register for the IHRM Conference and attend the Conference<u1:p></u1:p>
· Register for the Consortium by pressing the 'Submit your work' button by April 10, 2023. <u1:p></u1:p>
· Please submit a 1-page resume (Ph.D., job, research interests, courses taught, service roles you are engaged in).<u1:p></u1:p>
- Please upload a separate document with 3-5 important questions you have that are related to managing your career or academia in general.<u1:p></u1:p>
