Please attend our PDW session on teaching global leadership, which is back by popular demand (with different topics and exercises from prior years). Global leadership skills like multicultural competence, boundary spanning, making ethical decisions, building community, leading change, and empowering others are important in today's workplace, yet few business schools have courses or programs on this topic. In this highly practical and interactive PDW session on teaching global leadership, experienced global leadership professors and practitioners will share some of their exercises and activities. There will be a brief summary of best practices for developing global leaders, with the bulk of time focused on round-table discussions (with handouts) of teaching tools and exercises that can be used or adapted in developing class sessions or courses on global leadership topics along with conversations with participants to discuss their own ideas and concerns. Participants will leave with practical information on best practices and a variety of approaches and exercises for teaching global leadership and related topics (e.g. cross-cultural management, diversity). No pre-registration is required.
