Call for Applications (IM PDW) – New Deadline June 21
IM Division Paper Development Workshop (PDW) 2023

The IM Division will conduct a Paper Development Workshop (PDW) at the forthcoming 2023 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Boston, USA (currently scheduled for August 5, 2023 from 3:30-5:30pm). There are still open slots for authors who would like to present their work-in-progress and have the opportunity to get candid and constructive developmental feedback from several senior, highly experienced scholars. The faculty mentors include:
- Sebastian Reiche - IESE
- Yanbo Wang – Hong Kong University
- Gokhan Ertug – Singapore Management University
- Igor Filatotchev – Kings College London
- Helena Barnard – University of Pretoria
- Gabriel Benito – BI Norwegian Business School
- Günter Stahl – WU Vienna U. of Economics and Business
- Rebecca Piekkari – Aalto University, Helsinki
- Chang Hoon Oh – University of Kansas
- Daniela Blettner – Simon Fraser University
- Anthony Goerzen – Queens University
While priority will be given to junior scholars, all are welcome to apply. Applicants from other fields trying to internationalize their research are also welcome. All paper submissions must fit the International Management mandate (available at: https://im.aom.org/).
We also encourage participants in the Paper Development Workshop to participate in the "Meet-the-Editors" session. This session will provide an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from Editors at some of the leading journals in the field of International Management.
Submission instructions:
Submit the following to Christian Asmussen (cga.si@cbs.dk) and Vanessa Hasse (vhasse@ivey.ca) in a single pdf file by June 21, 2023:
- CV (max 2 pages).
- A complete paper. The paper may be a newly completed paper which could benefit from feedback by senior scholars or one that has been through the review process and needs guidance.
- An indication of 2 faculty mentors from the above list who may be most interested in your work.
Participants will be notified about the acceptance of their submissions by July 1, 2023. Please note that you need to be registered for the AOM conference in order to participate in this PDW.
